A. Nope! If anything, a laptop, tablet or smart phone set up on DNDBeyond and charger, Or a notepad and pen. Your DM has physical source books, loaner dice and minis.

Your DM will run the game in such a way as to finish in time, as long as the party stays relatively on task. The DM will do regular time checks and there is always the option to check with the DM about purchasing more time. That being said, this is your hard earned money, so please make sure all party members are on time and on the same page; if we run out of time due to the players running 'out of bounds' and no additional time has been booked and paid for, the session still ends at the scheduled end time. The adventure can be finished if another session is booked, based on availability. (Hint; Don't bring Murder Hobos).

No, your DM will introduce you to combat, role play and basics of playing 5th Edition D&D, and familiarize you with general lore on classes, monsters and biomes. All you need is the will and some imagination! Please DO give your DM a heads up of your experience level.

  • Unless requested, we don't punish Critical Fails (a roll of 1 on a d20 when attempting an attack, check or save)
  • Critical Hits (a roll of 20 on a d20 when Attacking) = Total Max Damage from dice, proficiencies and buffs + Rolled Damage including proficiencies and buffs.
  • On Request, we can use what we call "Hircine's Blessing", some know as the Brennan Lee Mulligan Rule: When you roll a Crit 20 on an attack, you can roll the d20 again, or "confirm it", and if you roll a 2nd Crit 20 in a row, that results in instant kill on mobs and mini-bosses, and a debilitating strike on major bosses and BBEGs.
  • Action Economy Regarding Potions: Use a Full Action, you get the Max HP regained. Using a Bonus Action to drink a potion, roll appropriate dice per the potion strength.
  • Short communication or taunts for role play purposes during combat are Free Actions. Asking questions, giving commands or directions, or prompting any kind of physical or verbal response will require an Action.
  • Unless Requested, the DM assumes Casters (magic users) have appropriately stocked materials in their component pouches or requisite foci for casting.
  • On request the DM can track ammo for all ranged weapons that require it, as well as reloading and misfire mechanics for firearms.
  • All House Rules are subject to change upon request.
